The Regal family, who have given so much to others, now need our help in return.
Well-known and much-beloved for their work for the community, both seen and unseen - this special family is now in a state of crisis.
Mrs Chayelle Regal (Chaya Reizel bas Soreh Rivka Alte Gittel), is perhaps best known as director of the Regal Productions shows - creating 16 shows over the last 17 years, touring the world to raise money for Zir Chemed (a charity for helping couples with fertility challenges). Less well known are the private acts of giving she is constantly involved in, helping families making simchas, running tzedaka events, advising fundraising campaigns, finding people parnassah and more.
Her husband, Reb Chanoch Regal z"l was a world famous writer whose works included the history of the Abichazira dynasty, biographies of the Ohr Ha’Chaim Ha’Kodosh, the Belzer and Nodvarna Rebbes, and more. He also was a beloved and acclaimed community activist, respected within his kehilla and by outsiders as well, involved in chessed projects, community education, and so much more away from the public eye. He alone was instrumental in tirelessly raising huge amounts of tzedaka for the community. He was a gifted speaker and never turned down a request to go from place to place and raise money, sometimes going to 3 or 4 shuls on one Shabbos! Much of his work he insisted on doing anonymously and only now is the tremendous loss being realised...
A tragic fire has now left their three young children without a father. B"H their mother is now back home after being hospitalised and operated but there's still a long road ahead - full of recovery, medical treatments, bills, and healing.
The Regals have given so much to the klal, to elevate and educate and bring joy and above all hope for a better future.
Mrs. Chayelle Regal’s productions have helped Zir Chemed bring hope to countless couples and the joy of new life into the world - now it is our turn to help her and her children - to give them the time and ability to heal from their wounds in dignity, without financial fears, so that one day the Regal family will continue their legacy of giving.
Several months ago, Mrs. Chayelle Regal envisioned and brought to fruition the 'iCare' project for Zir Chemed, a special music video and campaign, carefully and sensitively designed to give a message of love and support to those who often feel alone and forgotten by their communities
